Priority Three - Parking

Following our Public Meeting on 25th August and the issues you told us about when you completed our questionnaires we have made parking one of our three main priorities.

To make an informed start we invited a Project Engineer from West Berkshire's Traffic and Road Safety Department to give the NAG members a talk at our meeting on Wednesday, November 3rd. Please click on the attached link to read some very useful guidelines on considerate parking.  Considerate Car Use

Speeding on Grove Road

The NAG has been receiving complaints about speeding on Grove Road for a very long time.  Though we have had good support from the  Neighbourhood Police Team who set up their mobile units on many occasions to deter speeding motorists, we were aware that the problem continued.  Questionnaires returned to the NAG last year showed clearly that the residents were still unhappy about this problem and we also recieved complaints from neighbouring streets.

Our members raised this with West Bekshire Council and they have kindly erected the Community Speeding Signs and supplied us with literature on the scheme to distribute to residents.  We carried out this distribution in December of last year.  If you would like to get involved in this, or similar projects, we would be very happy to hear from you.  Please e-mail us on SSDNAG@gmail.com
