Re-election of NAG Chairman
  • David Onslow was re-elected unopposed as the NAG chairman for another year, to give the NAG some continuity
 
Anti Social Behaviour
  • It was announced that a dedicated patrol car is on ASB duty in the Wycombe Area for the whole time to combat ASB, and was making a big improvement in response times. The system had been running for about 6 weeks, and was continuing to be successful.
    ASB will be targeted for Halloween and Bonfire Night. All officers will be out in force on the actual nights, with duties scheduled a long time ahead. The process will start by officers going into the schools beforehand
  • FH Recreation Ground. No update had been obtained, although further ASB had been evident at the site
  • LT reported a graffiti attack in Hazlemere. Culprit was caught and arrested, and the HNPT had cleared up a number of other instances.
Crime Update
  • RW announced the whole Wycombe LPA area was noticing a large reduction in crime, with a 50% reduction in burglary in 2012.

NAG Priority- Speeding/Road Safety Update

  • Community Speedwatch [CSW]
    It was announced that the SID equipment was now in for repair, It was also announced that the HNPT had obtained possession of another SID for use on CSW
  • 30mph Wheelie Bin Signs
    This issue will be  raised at the next CWPC WS&P meeting on the 11th of Oct, to see if the signs can be distributed to the three local Residents Associations, for delivery to residents houses.
  • Camera Van Activities Treadaway Hill Loudwater/Flackwell Heath.
    Further complaints of motorists being booked going down Treadaway Hill. RW stated that it was just as much a danger of speeding down the hill as going up it. It was pointed out that most motorist’s who had been booked going up the hill, were still speeding at the brow of the hill and onwards into Swains Lane.
    It was hoped the Chepping Wye Valley LCP will fund moveable VAS’s to move around the whole LCP area
  • Speeding Traffic on Heath End Road FH
    PC Rowena Austin has commented on this in her actions notes from the last meeting, and it is under review.
Staff Changes
  • No staff changes to report. The 2 PCSO posts are still vacant.

Youth Facilities
  • No update on BMX Facilities in FH was to hand, but at the CWPC led Recreational/ Play Equipment Workshop being held the same evening as the NAG meeting, it was hoped to start the ball rolling on designing a new playground facility.
  • Hazlemere Youth Club Update.
    HYC has reopened for two nights a week. A  full update will be requested, which can then be circulated to NAG members.                                                                                                                              
NAG Funding
  • Cheque from CWPC
    The cheque from CWPC of £250 was presented to the NAG treasurer Brian Mapletoft . The NAG chairman is to write to the CWPC Chairman Jeff Herschel to thank him for the Council’s generous donation. 
                                                                                                  
                                                  
Communications update
  • Articles on NAG Activities
    It is hoped to publish something in the Village Voice magazine of the Penn & Tylers Green Residents Society, and in the Grapevine Magazine of Flackwell Heath shortly.
  • An update for the FH Website was now on the website.
    An alert about the NAG had been sent to the Hazlemere website.
  • HNPT Newsletter
    Comment was made that the Alerts system was still putting out the Newsletter for both Hughenden and Hazlemere /Chepping Wycombe NAG’s together. It was reported the computer system at present did not allow the two newsletters to be sent out separately, due to the way crime was reported. It was hoped this problem would be sorted out.
  • uknag’s.org Web site
    Further work will now be made and report back will be forthcoming for the next NAG meeting
  • TVP Alerts
    It was felt that TVP Alerts was still not doing the job it should be doing. RW to talk to the Alerts staff
    RW stated the National Police Crime statistics were available to all, and that TVP was not replacing Community messaging

Any other Business

  • From 1/10/12 Hughenden will be policed from the Princes Risborough Police office.
  • SM asked about the future of the Have your Say meetings. RW commented there is still a question mark over their future. These meetings do not have sufficient support and do not work, and are not achieving anything. TVP are looking at better ways to engage with the residents
