Crime prevention advice

Hot weather warning

Thames Valley Police are reminding residents to be extra careful during hot weather by making sure their property is secure before going to bed. Make sure downstairs windows are locked and front and back doors secured.  Don’t leave garden tools and ladders lying around in your garden and make sure your garage and sheds are kept locked when not in use.

Car and Shed thefts

A large number of thefts have recently taken place from garden sheds and from cars in this area
Please help to protect your belongings and prevent theft by :
Locking your shed or garage. Use a strong padlock, preferably with an alarm
Never leave valuable items in your car, such as laptops or sat-navs.
Make sure you lock your car at all times.
If you have been a victim of theft, please notify the police by calling 101.
It is important that you notify the police even if the theft was several weeks ago, or your shed was broken into but nothing was taken.
